The Caving in Iran Website has been developed to serve several functions.  It has two mutually complimentary dimensions, one written in English script and the other in Farsi script.

The English part of the website aims to:

• Raise awareness and understanding about Iran, its limestone's, its caves and cave exploration.

• Provide a forum where original cave exploration in Iran can be recorded, acknowledged and shared.

• Encourage mutual co-operation and sharing of knowledge and ideas amongst those with an interest in Iran's Karst and Caves.

The Farsi part of the website aims to:

• Raise awareness and understanding about Iran's limestone's, caves and cave exploration.

• Provide a forum where cave original exploration in Iran can be recorded, acknowledged and shared.

• Encourage mutual co-operation and sharing of knowledge and ideas amongst those with an interest in Iran's Karst and Caves.

• Give and share knowledge on modern techniques and equipment used in Cave Recording, Cave Exploration, Cave Mapping, Cave Photography and the Science and Development of Caves

There is no cost or charge in accessing, using or sharing any of the information on this website as long as this is not done for financial gain.

Contributions to this website are welcome (particularly information on new and original discoveries etc). The administrator reserves the right to decide which items are placed/published on the website.
